Apicella + Bunton was engaged for the renovation of the historic New Haven Water Company building in New Haven’s 9th Square District. A comprehensive renovation of the brick and brownstone building was partially executed with a grant from the New Haven facade and restoration program.
The entry lobby was also fully renovated as well as the second floor office space. Bamboo floors, white painted walls and high-performance lighting were incorporated to create the highly functional and warm studio space that nurtures the creative energies of the staff.
Previously blocked-in windows were once again opened up, enhancing the light-filled quality and welcoming character of the space as well as its connection to the outdoors.
